CHARITY GOODS - YOUNG SONGWRITERS COMPETITION IN AID OF BARNARDO'S

We are proud to announce that we have started a project with another children's charity, this time with Barnardo's. The project is all about getting young people to use their talents to help other children less fortunate than themselves, while having a bit of fun as well. The Young Songwriters Competition will be open to 12 to 18 year old full time students in the UK, and there will be prizes for other categories, best performance, best pop video and best CD artwork. The top 4 songs will be recorded with leading UK artists!

Have a look at www.young-songwriters.co.uk for more details. Hellen Bach is in the process of sending emails to every secondary school and college in the UK. If you are a teacher and don't think your school has been included, or you have children who might like to take part, please encourage them to make sure their school is included and go to the website and at the bottom of the home page, there are electronic forms to fill in to register an interest for both pupils and schools.

PUDSEY AT THE CAMBRIDGE FOLK FESTIVAL

Pudsey will make a special appearance at the co-operative Cambridge Folk Festival on Sunday 1st August 2010. during the day he will be making some personal appearances including:

• Saying hello to his friends and giving hugs at the Mojo Signing Tent

• Appearing on-stage at the Children’s Concert

• Joining Gretchen Peters at her Songwriter’s Workshop for a photo opportunity with Gretchen and the entire crowd

The co-operative Cambridge Folk Festival is one of the premier festivals of the year and you can get details of the wonderful lineup for this year at www.cambridgefolkfestival.co.uk/ if you fancy coming along on the Sunday, best hurry to the site and get yourself a ticket as day tickets for single days are going fast.
