Well we managed to grab a few minutes with Sir Terry before he dashed
off after his last show in the series on Radio 2. I’ve know Sir Terry
for 13 years now, but I am still a little in awe of him. He is such a
nice person, but he really is that little bit larger than life and not
in size, (you all know about his racing snake figure)
Norman and I had a couple of ideas we wanted to talk over with Sir Terry and he liked both of them.
We
realised that we have hundreds of photos of various projects and
celebrities over the years and thought the time was right to put them in
a book, but not just a book of photos, but with each photo will be a
little story of what is happening, or how the photo came about.
Hopefully Sir Terry will write a few stories to go with some of these
photos. We hope to cover Bloomers, the beginning of Togs.org, The Togs
Calendar, Conventions, lunches, Janet & John and all the things that
included Sir Terry and his Togs.
We also hope to finally put
together the two years of filming we have from the making of the two
Bandaged albums. From the recording in Abbey Road to the Frog chorus
with the Togs at Longleat.
So with these projects being for BBC
Children in Need and our two songwriting projects for Barnardo’s we may
well be a bit busy.
Norman and I both agree that living and
working together is just fabulous, it means we talk about work all the
time, because we both love what we do and the rewards are knowing that
we are helping disadvantaged children in this country have a better
life.
I feel that I have so much to learn about business and what
we are doing, but a part of me says "Just do it!" I am not sure if we
are doing it right, but I know we are doing it for the right reasons.
We hope to keep those interested informed via Twitter and Facebook and we have combined the old Togs Newsletter with the Charity Goods Newsletter, so anyone who wishes to receive emails about what we are doing and what Sir Terry is up to, please fill in the form on the Newsletter page on here.
